Who Is Jesus? (Answer by Billy Graham Evangelistic Organization)
What Does It Mean To Receive Jesus Christ? (Answer by gotquestions.org)
TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR:
1. ADMIT to God that you’re a sinner in need of a Saviour.
2. REPENT which is a willingness to turn from your sin.
3. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and that He rose from the dead. In other words, Jesus is alive today.
4. RECEIVE, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.
5. COMMIT, with Jesus' help, to live the rest of your life for Him.
From the Bible:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23 esvuk)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 esvuk)
The apostle Peter referring to the person of Jesus: "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 esvuk)
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 esvuk)
About Himself, Jesus says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20 esvuk)
For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13 esvuk)
